|Entry Requirements||A candidate for admission to this programme of study must:
a. Be at least 18 years old, and
b. Must have a minimum of a relevant Level 6 qualification or its equivalent, or at least 3 years work experience in a relevant sector.
Note 1: In addition, international students** must have an IELTS Academic score of 6.0 overall, or equivalent, with no band less than 5.5.
Note 2: If admission criteria are not met, approval for admission may possibly be granted by the Academic Board, in special circumstances.
* Your Course Start Date is the appropriate Friday shown above, under ‘Course Start Date’. On the following Monday (i.e. 3 days after your Course Start Date), Orientation Week will commence, during which time a campus and course familiarisation programme will be delivered, and various outside agencies (such as a local bank, and an immigration consultant) will present to students. Please aim to arrive in New Zealand on – or in the week before – Course Start Date.
** International students for whom English is their first language, or who have studied at an institution where English is the language of instruction and assessment, may be exempted from the IELTS requirement. Note: This does not apply to countries whose visa approval rate is less than 80% – such students will be required to sit an IELTS or equivalent English-proficiency test regardless.
This programme aims to:
Give people who already have a degree, or extensive business experience, an opportunity to extend their knowledge in specialised fields of health service management or financial services, without having to complete a degree/further degree.

We have links with local businesses, and focus on creating opportunities whereby our students can obtain real-world experience before they graduate, through our internship programmes.
The Diploma in Business Management Level 7 with specialisations in health services (HS) and financial planning (FP) is delivered across five terms over a 39 week academic year.
